Driver Education for Teens: Tuition: $450.00 Class only: $150.00 BTW only: $300.00
This Department of Transporation approved course satisfies the Hawaii Administrative Rule Title 19 - Chapter 139 requirement for teenagers under the age of 18 who desire to obtain a Class 3 Hawaii Driver License. The following needs to be completed before being allowed to take the Road Test administered by the City & County of Honolulu:
- 30 hours Classroom instruction with a DOT certified instructor
- 6 hours Behind-the-Wheel instruction with a DOT certified instructor
- 50 hours Behind-the-Wheel practice with an adult
Driver Education for Adults: Tuition: $50.00 per hour Minimum 2 hours
Road Test Preparation / Rental: Tuition: $50.00 per hour Minimum 2 hours

Our CDL Course prepares you for the initial step as you pursue a career in the transportation industry. Instruction is based and patterned after the proposed Minimum Standards for Entry Level Tractor-Trailer Drivers issued by the Professional Truck Driving Institute of America. You will be introduced to the CDL system and presented the basic knowledge of how to inspect, control, and operate a commercial vehicle safely. Upon satisfactorily completing the course, you will possess a State of Hawaii CDL, transferrable throughout the nation, and the basic knowledge and skill to enter the transportation industry.

- CDL Classroom Instruction:
Classroom sessions will prepare you for the General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination or Passenger written exams administered by the City & County of Honolulu. Upon successful completion of the exams, you will obtain an Instructional Permit which will allow you to operate one of our commercial vehicles under the guidance of a CDL Training Specialist. This class is approximately 80 hours in length. The State of Hawaii CDL Manual is used as the primary text for classroom instruction and is included in the classroom tuition. Passport photos, testing, permit, and license fees are also included in the tuition.
- CDL Hands-on Instruction:
This course is a progressive extension of the classroom and will prepare you for 3 performance exams administered by the City & County of Honolulu CDL Section. These exams are the Vehicle Inspection, Basic Control Skills, and the Road Evaluation. You will learn how to perform a thorough vehicle inspection, ensure it is in safe operating condition and develop basic operating skills at low speeds in a secured environment. Basic operating skills include knowing how to safely start, stop, park, couple, and maneuver a straight truck (B), bus (Bw/P), or tractor-trailer (A). After demonstrating proficiency, you will apply your basic operating skills and learn how to shift, interact with other drivers and cope with the hazards of the roadway. Emphasis is placed on developing perceptual skills needed to recognize potential hazards and manipulative skills needed to handle the vehicle in an emergency. This class is approximately 126 hours in length. Testing and license fees are included in the tuition. PDA instructional material is used as the primary text for instruction and is supplemented by the State of Hawaii CDL manual, which is not required and not provided in the Hands-on tuition.

Passenger Hazardous Materials
Type 4 Driver License Course: Tuition: $2,000.00
This course will prepare you for 3 Performance exams administered by the City & County of Honolulu, CDL Section. The Type 4 license will allow you to operate a vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) 15,000 - 26,000 lbs.
Driver Improvement Program: Tuition: $75.00
This course satisfies the Hawaii Revised Statute requirement for all employers to provide an annual driver safety course and continuous evaluation to ensure commercial drivers operate their vehicles safely.
